What could be the cases for flaking/rash on skin on face?

What could be the causes? And what could it be?|||This is not psoriasis. What you have is called Seborrheic dermatitis. It is very common and irritating for some people. It usually happens between your nose and mouth in the creases, on your forehead and other areas. There are 2 ways to treat it. One is with hydrocortisone cream and the other is with a anti-yeast medicine or dandruff shampoo. If you really want to get rid of it fast, use a combination of all 3. It should be better in a week, but then continue using the shampoo. Good luck. You will get better!|||That could be a sign of psoriasis. Its a skin condition that has those symptoms.|||Contact dermatitis (rash due to irratation)

Try some cortisone cream.

It's best to see a doctor id it doesn't clea up in a day or two.|||Yea-it sounds like seborrheic dermatitis but not sure because I cannot see it. If you post a picture that may help. Please don't go searching the internet because you will scare the hell out of yourself. I have this condition and it sucks but you can improve it. It changed my life in a good way. From past experience using the steroid cream made my condition clear up real fast but in like a month it will be 10x as red when you stop using the steroid creme(hydrocortisone creme). After awhile I developed steriod rosacea from using that crap. Please don't use it. Short term success-long term suffering. Grapeseed extract has helped diminish the steroid rosacea-it helped strenghten the blood vessels I made weak formt eh steroids. Here is what I use- Purell hand santizer where it is flaky and I use the tanning salon and I look pretty damn good after-not to be cocky but I think I do. I take digestive enzymes and b-vitamins as well-I got pretty ripped trying to clear up my skin so I see that as a good thing. Remmeber the doctors don't have all of the answers-they'll just prescribe you something to treat the symptoms not knowing that it will get worse (steroid creme). From personal experience this **** sucks but its managebale. Ask me some questions about it if your confused-I have been dealing with it for a while. Good luck.|||There is an over the counter amino acid that really helps for cold sore conditions called Llysine. I am not sure that it would help with your skin condition, but it cannot hurt you. It is harmless to take. ( a pill form, like a vitamin) It is even sold in grocery stores.

My daughter gets that esp. around her nose. Sometimes it flares worse than other times.

I have a rash in my skin in my arm,its been there for more than 6 months, tried using skin creams,no effect?

the rash has been treated by dermatolgist but no effect, ihave used antifungal cream and antibiotics.the doctor says that it is sun rays effect, how can i get cured from this, i stay indoors most of the day.recently i started feeling itchy when i apply anitbiotic creams.|||Sounds like eczema from what you've described. All you need is a tube of eucerine cream on your skin which works very well. It may not be getting better if you stay in the sun too long or shower for long periods. Try to stay out the sun as much as you can and also take very short showers with warm not hot water.|||I would try a different dermatologist. They should have been able to diagnose this better by now. Good luck!

~personal experience~|||Well, since we don't know what your rash looks like, this is a tough one to answer, but when I had a mysterious rash on my elbow once the pharmacist said to use a combo of 1/2 Eucerine and 1/2 hydrocortisone, and it cleared up within just a few days when nothing else had worked. Otherwise, see a another dermatologist.|||go to a skin specialist|||You should take a warm shower not too hot and wash your body down with a liquid soap called phisoderm which can be bought over the counter (no prescription necessary).

As I said wash your self all over with that soap. But DO NOT rub the liquid soap under your arm pits or if the rash is on your arms do not rub soap there with your hands. In other words where ever the rash is do not rub soap directly on it with your hands. The soap will just irritate your rash on the skin. Your arm or arm pits will get cleaned in general by the effect of the sopa while you are in the shower.

After your ashower dry yourself off but do not rub the rash area with the towel as this will irritate the rash just pat dry it with the towel. Wait a few minutes until you are totally dry and apply "corn starch" on the affected area where the rash is.

Just a box of plain corn starch from the supermarket shelf. Not corn starch powder with medication in it nor a medicated body powder found in the health and beauty aids section of the drugstore. IN other words just PLAIN OLD CORN STARCH which is used for cookig.

The corn starch is a natural remedy for irritated skin. Apply the corn starch in the same way that a person would put on powder after taking a "shower."

Years ago when my uncle had had a skin rash when he was a kid and had to go into the hospital they gave him corn starch baths and then applied corn starch on his rash and he was cured of his rash. I use corn starch instead of powder and it keeps the skin on my arms and legs healthy and dry.

After doing that for several days then the rash should clear up. When the rash is cleared up about 2 or 3 times a week you should take a fresh lemon into the shower with you and sprinkle some lemon over you with the shower water running over you after you have rinsed yourself completely of the soap that you use when washing in the shower. The lemon is a natural anti-bacterial agent and it will help to keep your skin healthy. Just remember to use it only about 2 or 3 times a week no more than that. This is because lemon is acidic and too often and some people can get irritated skin if done every day.

Also try not to use a cream on a rash as a rash is similiar to getting a sunburn on the skin. In other words the skin is hot and irritated where the rash is just like the sjkin is hot after a sunburn and applying a creame to the skin is like putting butter on a hot frying pan. You can hear the butter sizzle on the frying pan. The irritated skin by a rash is similiar to a hot frying pan.

Thank you for reading this and I wish you the best of success.

Also corn starch is safer than powder as there is no medicated ingredients like they put into talcum powder form the bottle of powder. Therefore there is less chance to irritate the skin.|||Make a paste of fresh ginger and apply on your rashes for 3 to 5 days and it will vanish. Also if possible eat ginger achaar with your meals.Ginger is natural skin healer.|||be very careful, it might be the deadly disease SLE.do immidiately skin biopsy and also all the blood tests.i warn you i have suffered enough of this disease and i too tried the same as you did, but do as i say immidiately.do not consider any herbal or natural medicine, it will only increase, i warn you for you life, because if you leave this like that the disease will bad and you will suffer.but i find that you are in the first few sympomic stages of sle.so go to a hematologist now.|||an urad base scrub will do

It can cause irritation even bleeding around the head from being chapped, sweat will also cause this|||its up to you to know if you didn't do any hanky panky than it's

nothing Report It
|||Cut down your weight, and put some tropical antibiotic cream, drink a lot of water.|||Yes, probably sweat rash or dead old skin from chaffing. Try some Gold Bond Medicated Powder.|||dude, go to the health department you got a s.t.d

Rash caused by skin irritants?

On Thursday night I developed a strange rash around my neck and left hand/arm. The affected areas made me suspect that it was caused by the massage cream used by my physical therapist, who gave me massages on precisely these areas on Wednesday.

What I'd like to know is why the rash did not develop on Wednesday but on Thursday night. Even stranger is the fact that I took a shower on Thursday morning.

Any comment would be appreciated.|||One other thing to think about is did she come in contact with someone with ringworm and not realize this? I am not sure of the incubation period or the massage therapists personal hygiene between appointments but this would possibly explain the delay between use and symptoms.|||Immune function, nothing drastic.

Just a few complex carbohydrates missing in your immune system, very easy to replace. I specialise in skin conditions, and I work with the company which developed the four times Nobel Prize winning science to go with it. Did I mention the 350,000 plus scientific papers written in its acclaim?

Good luck.|||well honey some times it can take a rash or allergic reaction to show up in days it depends on how much your body can bare or how long you keep useing or doing what your doing the body speaks or it self sometimes.

IS this a rash or a skin disease?

ok i been feeling very itchy lately i don't no why? I remember accidently eatin a tiny peice of raw meat but it was really small and i doubt it has to do with this. But i have black skin so if my skin reddens its hard to tell. i looked at my skin which use to be prefectly smooth but know has tiny bumps thats the same color as my skin i don't know how i got that but how do i get rid of it.i also noticed a had like a rectangle bump on my arms its the same color as my skin it is not that noticeable but if you stand next to me you can see it? is that worms in my skin.PLEASE TELL ,ME WHATS WRONG AND WHAT I SHOULD DO???~~!!!|||oh for Pete's sake......if something is seriously wrong GO SEE A DANG DOCTOR OR URGENT CARE! no one in here can treat you......Sorry but it's common sense.|||Visit a dermatologist brother. I'm guessing you are suffering from psoriasis.|||Sounds like an allergic reaction, but see a doctor to get something to help stop it at least.|||This sounds more like an allergic reaction to me than a disease. I suggest trying a dose of Benedryl (according to the directions); you might also get some cortisone cream (1%) to put on the bumps. If that doesn't help, then it's time to see a dermatologist.

Good luck!

Is it a rash or chapped skin?

My six month old baby has severe chapped skin on her cheeks and neck.I have tried Eucerine , Vaseline and Johnson's lotion and none of the above has helped at all.

The skin has become so red and rough that I am begining to wonder if it really is dry skin or something else.

The doctor says apply Vaseline but as I mentioned it did not help one bit.

Can anybody please suggest something.

I am sure its not any kind of allergy as I havent given her anything different or new to eat nor have I used any new baby products on her.

Please advice.

Thanks|||My 6 month old son had what sounds exactly like this just 2 weeks ago. He had it for about a month and it kept getting worse and more red and sore looking even though I tried Aquaphor, Eucerin, and many other lotions. His pedi finally recommended Cetaphil lotion, which I just happen to use on my own face. I started applying it every morning and night, and within 3 days his cheeks were cleared up! Worth a try, I think. I hope it helps your baby too!|||babies are so hard aren't they!! lol maybe exzema???? you would think that it would have gotten a little better by now. if your doctor doesn't investigate it further i would suggest finding a new one|||She may be allergic to what your doctor is prescribing her. You can by baby some hydrocortizone. Or go to a different doctor and get advice.|||You forgot one thing. May be your child having problem with Vaselene and other products. Try Milk cream. Its natural and consult a good skin doctor. Breast feeding is the best medicine to all problems and a perfect nourishment to a child.

Take care of the baby

From ankesh_101@yahoo.com|||Is she teething? My little one got very red cheeks and chin whenever she was cutting a tooth. Sudocrem was very efficient at clearing that up.|||We had good luck with a stick gerber makes, looks like a big fat gluestick.|||Since the products you mentioned have not helped, if I were you my step would be to schedule a pediatric dermatology appointment for my child. Especially for a young baby, the rash has got to be uncomfortable. I wouldn't accept any more suggestions from your doctor by phone. I would insist on a doctor's appointment to have this problem treated.

They don't stay babies for very long. It just seems like you can blink and they're starting kindergarten already! You don't want this short, special time to be marred by a skin problem. I hope you can get the treatment for your baby that clears this problem up.|||Could be eczema.. have you tried off-the-counter hydrocortizone? Also you may just not have applied enough of the lotion/cream. My baby had very bad eczema, to the point he scratches it bleeds, and the whole cheek looked raw. His doc said apply the lotion all the time. The trick is to make the lotion a barrier between skin and anything else (like drool, food). Also, it could be allergy. Just because she wasn't allergic before doesn't mean she isn't now. Also if it stays raw for a few days, there could be an infection. I used Eucerin cream (not lotion, but CREME), and Aquaphor (Aquaphor seems to stay on better, and easier to apply, my doc said lotion is just not enough).
