In Nigeria, we are experiencing harsh weather now and during this period every year I go through terrible times with rashes all over my face, neck and on my hands.|||I suggest using soaps with glycerin. If a female, use oil free make up and I have sound that Dove moisturizer works the best or Vaseline.Try lemon juice on the face. Or take and peel an orange and grind up the peel add a little water to form a paste and apply as a mask. Leave on for5 minutes then wash off and use the glycerin based moisturizer. Try reducing the intake of milk and white flour and foods high in iodine. Especially seafood.|||I am not sure what products are available to you but wash your "rash" area with pure and natural items.

In zootomy and dermatology, skin is an organ of the integumentary system made up of multiple layers of epithelial tissues that guard underlying muscles and organs. As the interface with the surroundings, it plays the most important role in protecting against pathogens. Its other main functions are insulation and temperature regulation, sensation and vitamin D and B synthesis. Skin is considered one of the most important parts of the body.
Skin has pigmentation, or melanin, provided by melanocytes, which absorb some of the potentially dangerous ultraviolet radiation in sunlight. It also contains DNA repair enzymes which help to reverse UV damage, and people who lack the genes for these enzymes suffer high rates of skin cancer. One form predominantly produced by UV light, malignant melanoma, is particularly invasive, causing it to spread quickly, and can often be deadly. Human skin pigmentation varies among populations in a striking manner. This has sometimes led to the classification of people(s) on the basis of skin color.
Mammalian skin often contains hairs, which in sufficient density is called fur. The hair mainly serves to augment the insulation the skin provides, but can also serve as a secondary sexual characteristic or as camouflage. On some animals the skin is very hard and thick, and can be processed to create leather. Reptiles and fish have hard protective scales on their skin for protection, and birds have hard feathers, all made of tough β-keratins. Amphibian skin is not a strong barrier to passage of chemicals and is often subject to osmosis. A frog sitting in an anesthetic solution will quickly go to sleep.
Damaged skin will try to heal by forming scar tissue, often giving rise to discoloration and depigmentation of the skin.
The skin is often known as "the largest organ of the human body". This applies to exterior surface, as it covers the body, appearing to have the largest surface area of all the organs. Moreover, it applies to weight, as it weighs more than any single internal organ, accounting for about 15 percent of body weight. For the average adult human, the skin has a surface area of between 1.5-2.0 square meters, most of it is between 2-3 mm thick. The average square inch of skin holds 650 sweat glands, 20 blood vessels, 60,000 melanocytes, and more than a thousand nerve endings.
The use of natural or synthetic cosmetics to treat the appearance of the face and condition of the skin (such as pore control and black head cleansing) is common among many cultures.|||dermatologist|||Dermatologist|||dermatologist|||A dermatologist|||a dermatologist|||dermatologist|||dermatologist but if you have HMO go to your GP first|||Dermatologist|||A Dermatologist|||a dermatologist would be the best|||dermatologist.|||A Dermatologist.....they are a doctor of the skin.|||to a dermatologist...skin specialist|||A dermatologist. Can any of you women help me out with a skin rash problem?
My back breaks out in a every once in a while, from nothing in particular, at least I don't think, but it's so itchy. Do any of you ladies have any idea how I could rid it or prevent it from happening? Thanks so much.|||You can break out any place you have skin, though usually it is worse on the face and back. It sounds as if you have either a built up of dead skin cells or dry skin. You can break out from either. The way to prevent it is to use a loofa or back scrub sponge to slough off the dead skin, or one of the body scrubs which have tiny bits to help do it. Also consider the soap you are using. The body doesn't really need a deoderant soap all over, in fact, it doesn't really benefit from a deoderant soap anywhere if you bathe daily. A nice mild soap, or in your case a soap with some added oil or cream would be best I should think. If your skin is dry, soaking in a warm tub with added bath oil- not bubble bath- one or twice a week will help as well. So will applying a body lotion to the damp skin after bathing/showering, then just sort of pat drying. That will help your skin hold the moisture better.
If you are breaking out and itchy in areas where your bra straps rub, it might also be due to the laundry detergeat, laundry aids, or fabric softener/dryer sheets. They leave residues of soaps and perfumes in the clothing, which is why clothes smell so nicely after washing. They may irritate skin, though. More so if it is not all being rinsed out well in the wash. I use liquid detergeants and run my undies in an extra rinse for this reason. I will break out and have really itchy skin otherwise. When I am able, I buy detergeants without added perfumes and such, just to avoid the problem.
I hope this helps you some. I have a tendency to dry skin and I have had a lot of improvement with doing these things.|||it is herpes, you should get to the doctor.|||You should see a dermatologist. What is the quickest way to get rid of a skin rash from Laundry detergent?
Is there any creams that get rid of it quick, or oral meds., lotions, body wash? What else to do?|||ARGH! I have been there!! It's called Contact Dermatitis. Time is your friend/enemy. Obviously, don't use the detergent. Try Benadryl orally, the OTC coritsone creams are a joke, so if you can, as to get a prescription hydrocortisone. Also, ask for a prescripton for Atarax, that TOTALLY helped me out.
Otherwise, there isn't an easy way; fewer showers, gold bond powder, soft loose fitting clothes....call the doc and ask for the Atarax, that was my saving grace. Its's cheap too.|||Is the rash from the detergent liquid or is it from the clothes that you wore that were washed in it? Either way get rid of the laundry soap and take a shower with regular soap. Use some hydrocortisone cream if you have some and if it itches take an antihistamine like Benadryl or Claritin.|||Take benadryl and put hydrocortisone cream on it.|||Anything you use will make it worse. Don't use that crap with perfume in it. You are allergic to the perfume ingredients in some detergent and probably most creams and lotions. Rinse yourself off with just water. Run your clothes through the washer without any soap or detergent. Also it may be the ph of your water, You may try a few grains of baking soda rinse in the shower. , If it is soft, use a few drops of vinegar.|||Yes, you can take benadryl and hydro cortisone. You can also take vitamin C, a natural anti histamine and lots of water to clean out your system. 1/2 a gallon daily. Oil of Oregano internally and on the skin. Of course you should avoid the detergent. Be sure to try to detoxify your body and increase your immune system as rash is a sign of to much toxins in your system and or stress and or a low immune system. Oil of Oregano surely takes the itching away. And has no side effects. And the meantime be good to your self and do some fun things.|||As a healthcare provider I usually order a shot of Decadron and a med called Medrol Dose Pak. It is a quick course of corticosteroid. Atarax is good for itching. Benedryl will help, but causes sleepiness. I usually give Allegra. Avoid the cause...of course. and there are prescription strength cortisone creams...but the shot and the Medrol Dose Pak work quicker|||Benadryl by mouth at night, benadryl cream during the day. Unfortunately, that kind of rash is like getting a burn and it has to heal. So keep the area moisturized. Aloe vera would probably be a good choice. If it's particularly itchy or painful, you may want to consider the aloe with the painkiller lidocaine in it.
I find All Free and Clear and Purex to be the best to keep the rashes away. Also, bounce makes a dye and perfume free formula that is the first one my kids could tolerate.

relief from skin rash?
i'm hoping to find home or over-the-counter remedies as we've just spent $150 to find out he's got an allergy, but have yet to figureout WHAT he's allergic to! thanks, in advance.|||oatmeal shampoo...the oatmeal removes the irritants from the skin only problem is you have to keep shampooing them every couple of days. since you will need to shampoo so often, careful on the temp of the water since too hot or too cold will leave them with dry ichy skin.
skin so soft from avon also helps, but will leave their coat oily.
we have the same problem with our younger dog and thought it was fleas for the first couple of years, though we couldn't find any fleas. its seasonal allergies...just like a human would get....she struggles with this in the spring for a little while...then it subsides during the summer but comes back really strong in the fall (ragweed season). it is getting better as she gets older...the bouts don't last as long.
oh..one other thing to try...if hes not already, switch his dog food to lamb. if its a food allergy, dogs are almost alway NOT allergic to lamb...if hes still ichy, that will rule food (his own dog food anyway, not table scraps) as the culprit.|||try using hypo-allergenic food.|||Give him a luke warm bath and give him a benedryl tablet hidden in a peice of burger or cheese. Also, dry chamomile tea is good to make him relax and more ocmfortable..very good for him too.|||although their intentions are good the only thing here that might even come close is the oat meal shampoo but,I doubt it.You WANT SULFODENE you can find it at WAL-Mart.It's yellow at trust me it works been raising animals for 60 years nearly,have lots of long haired dogs that go through it every year at this time.Write it down SUlFODENE|||I have a lab with allergies. I can't for the life of me figure out what its from and for a vet to find out is very costly. I gave her benadryll also. My vet gave me prednisone also, but that's a steroid and is not good for them to take all the time. It's good to use when your dog is just completely miserable. It works. Try and get some if you can for those times when your dog just can't take the itching any more. The baths that the other people recommended are great too. I started feeding fer all natural dog food. Its called Wellness and they have a variety. I use to feed her the fish and sweet potato, that worked really well because the fish oils and omega fatty acids helped her skin so much and gave her relief. They just came out with a allergy formula and I switched to that about 4 months ago and she hasn't been itching at all. Good luck. I hope something helps.|||There is a product that you can get over the counter from your vet called Neocort. It is a anti inflammatory. Just rub it onto the infected areas of your dogs skin it will reduce the redness and inflammation. The other important thing is to try and figure out what is actually causing the irritation to your dogs skin. This can only be done with a proses of elimination. A few things that you might like to try is the dogs diet put him/her on a food with no artificial colours or preservatives. Try using a low irritant washing powder on his/her bedding.
The other thing you can try is to wash him in a product called Maleseb available form your vet over the counter, it is a medicated foam Wash. you use it like normal shampoo but leave it on the skin for about 10 minuets then rinse it of. Continue to do this every two weeks. If this starts to get on top of it then get a oatmeal shampoo i recommend Epi-sooth also get from your vet over the counter so use your maleseb one time then the 2 weeks later use the epi sooth.
If you still having trouble or want to discuss what i have recommended some more drop me an e mail i might be able to suggest a few other things.|||A good remedy which is cheap also is dilute teatree oil or you can even buy it in shampoo form. Do you give your dog hide chews as my dog rubbed himself raw and it was because of the chews. We stopped giving them to him and the scratching stopped|||Have the dog checked for red mange if that is it you can give your dog some Ivermection Solution by mouth, Ask your VET. It works!!
If that's not it go to a feed store and get some "NEW - STOCK" it will help !!

oh..one other thing to try...if hes not already, switch his dog food to lamb. if its a food allergy, dogs are almost alway NOT allergic to lamb...if hes still ichy, that will rule food (his own dog food anyway, not table scraps) as the culprit.|||try using hypo-allergenic food.|||Give him a luke warm bath and give him a benedryl tablet hidden in a peice of burger or cheese. My Vet actually told me to do this on a few occasions. The benedryl is a histamine blocker and will give the dog relief.|||gold bond powder, :-?|||Use Benadryl it is an antihistamine and is safe for dogs. In the meantime try to find out what he is allergic to by removing things one at a time and using non allergic shampoo.|||Try using Avon Skin So Soft to bath him.|||Put about a 1/2 cup of vegetable oil on his dog food, it will help with his skin being dry and irritated.|||A cool bath with Aveeno (or generic oatmeal soap) will sooth his skin, and ease itching.
Your vet has probably already told you that an all natural Lamb and rice based kibble is the best for him.
dogs can take benedryl in 1/2 human's dose.
What's the best way to get rid of a skin rash???? Looks like if I had a alergic reaction to something :(?
Go see a doc asap!!! If it's an allergic reaction, things can go pretty nasty.|||time. it may take upwards of2 weeks depending on how bad it is. however, take benadryl, and use a moisturiser(unless that is what caused it in the first place) and figure out what you are allergic to.|||use tea tree oil ointment. it is all natural and usually has aloe to soothe skin. if it is spreading, best to see a doc. is it itchy? benadry cream will calm it down, but then i would switch over to tea tree oil. good luck|||You want the rash to dry up and go away. Dont moisterize. Take a long hot bath with a generous amount of baking soda in the water. This works for babies who have heat rash, and should work for you too. I do this for my 6 mo. old when she has diaper rash. It works quickly.|||You should take some benedryl and then rub some form of ointment on the area..... as long as the area is not hot you should be fine|||Buy over the counter Benadryl - dr always prescribes that first, if that doesn't work then you need to go to you Doctor for a prescription.|||Cortisone cream should clear it up. If it itches put something cold on it to relieve the itch so it will not get infected from scratching. You can also take a allergy med to help (claritn benadryl).|||rashes are from a buildup of toxins the liver cannot tolerate, please make sure your liver is okay!
What Is A Good Quick Way To Get Rid Of A Skin Rash ?
I have red rashes all over my body due to an allergic reaction from a detergent. They are red and itchy. I was given some pills to take and was told to use Hydrocortisone. It doesn't look like anything is happening, are there other ways I can expedite this ? (I have also rewashed everything in a milder detergent)|||Try a luke warm bath with a cup of baking soda added.|||benedril (spelling) is very effective for skin rashes. i use it all the time usually during alergy season. i use Hydrocortisone when my skin is very dry and cracked and rashed.|||Try Neosporin. It helped me recently with a very itchy heat rash.|||We always use Gold Bond Medicated lotion. That usually clears it up in a day or two.
I have a question about my acne/skin rash?
I'm an 19 year old guy. I have perioral deratitis. It is when you have red bumps around your mouth. Essentially it looks like acne but it has this name, so I will refer to it as acne. It bothers the **** out of me. I know it's weird but I actually wear make-up now to cover it up. I hate wearing makeup. I can't grow facial hair, so I was thinking could I buy a fake beard that looks real and just wear that . Any ideas if that would be a good idea, and if so where I would get this legitimate looking fake beard.|||Actually, there ARE treatments for this!
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=periora...
Perioral Dermatitis
http://www.aad.org/public/Publications/p...
How is this condition treated?
An oral antibiotic, like tetracycline, is the most common treatment for perioral dermatitis. Treatment may be needed for several months to prevent recurrence. For milder cases or pregnant women, topical antibiotic creams may be used. Occasionally, your dermatologist may recommend a specific corticosteroid cream, just for a short time to help your appearance while the antibiotics are working.
What can be expected with treatment?
Most patients improve within two months of oral antibiotics. If corticosteroid creams were used for treatment, there may be a flare-up when the creams are stopped. If antibiotic treatment is stopped too early, however, the problem can come back.
To learn more about perioral dermatitis, call toll free (888) 462-DERM (3376) to find a dermatologist in your area.
PS I have Epidermititis a similar problem. However, I would NOT take my doctors answer and found my own solution. I made a mix of Vaseline / Iodine / Sulphur and put over my face and within 2 weeks my face was clear and it has never returned.
I don't recommend that! lol, because you could be allergic to some of those ingredients! However, the treatments above recommended by the doctors should help you. Basically, I'm saying, DON'T GIVE UP!|||Sorry bro. Have you tried Proactiv Solutions?? My girl cleared up her face in about a month with that stufff... I dont think you can find a legitimate looking beard - not to mention it might garner some suspicion if you attempt to travel anywhere!!|||What you need is what folks like Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson, Cher, Susan Lucci promote on TV.
Its called ProActive. Its amazing. You should look into it.|||wearing a fake beard is a little weird and there is always the posibility it comes off so i would just keep wearing cover-up.|||PRO ACTIVE BABE PRO ACTIVE|||Its razor stubble from your boyfriends crotch. Dont go down all the way and the red bumps will go away. You asked in the homo section , so you must be a sausage smoker|||And you think this means you're gay?

Do you know anyone who has the skin rash called shingles?
doctors say L-Lysine will cure it-500mg for 3-4 weeks then 100mg per day|||Late night talk show host David Letterman, had it about a year ago.|||Skin rash shingles is actually a herpes zoster eruption that happens on a dermatom, meaning it follows a predetermined contour on your body. Once you have the herpes it can NOT be cured however some medications can make the neuropathic pain more bearable (such as Neurontin).
Unfortunatelly you just have to wait for the flare up to go away. Try google.com and punch in herpes zoster. also you can type www.uptodate.com and querry, they should have a lot of good medical advice.

Is vaseline any help for a normal skin rash?
not really. it could irritate more b/c it doesn't allow the rash to have air and could trap germs.
use benadryl or hydrocortisone cream instead. this will help reduce the reaction and help with any itching. you can find it at any local drugstore. these creams are absorbed by the skin so they won't trap germs or block air.
you can also use oral benadry tablets but they will make you sleepy so no driving or being out and about. take 1-2 of the 25mg tablets every 6 hours (no more than 4 doses in 24 hours).
hope this helps|||it helps for killing breast cancer only~duh!|||Vaseline acts as a barrier against wetness, so if you have chafing it can help protect the skin. My long distance runner friends put it between their armpits and chest, and thighs, so they don't get rashes from the friction when they run.|||Yes this helps to heal skin|||hmm only if your chafing or trying to protect it from something. i would use a hydrocortisone cream ...that will get to the root of the actual problem.|||no because it will keep in the heat from the infection. Your looking to cool the area.|||No, try an antibacterial cream.|||no, it could even make things worse. Try sorbolene cream.|||No vaseline holds in bacteria.

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

Try acne meds, there's pro-active or there is an imitation of that they sell at CVS called Acne Free. I also wouldn't recommend using makeup. It clogs your pores. If none of that works I would go and see a specialist.|||aww..dont get a fake beard. it'll make your condition worse cuz your skin wont be able to breathe. i'm sure there's some kind of treatment you can get from a dermatologist.|||Try going to the dermatologist and perhaps he/she can prescribe you with something to clear it.|||I've heard about the deratits. I think getting a false beard is one the dumbest ideas anyone ever thought of. No offense to you or anyone else that buys them, but they make no sense, unless it's for a costume.
If there's no way to get rid of it, then try to find ways to make it look not as red. Try going to a store like "bath and body works", and getting a 3 step face cleaner. They may be a little more hygene then what you might be used to, or a little more pampering then you prefer. But trust me, in the long run, it'll be alot better then wearing make-up, or a false beard.
You can also try wearing moisturizing masks at night. When I say mask, I don't mean the green kind that hardens, the kind you see int he movies. They have masks that are clear, green, many different colors, and some of them don't really dri hard. As they dry at night, they crack, so your face has room to move, but it won't come off until it's washed off.
Masks aren't made for just woman now. Men actually have a few better face cleansers then woman do! So don't think that there's anything wrong with a guy wanting to use an atrengent(however you spell it), a toner, and a moisturizer. The mens versions are made for those who want to make their skin look better, feel better, and just have confidence in themselves!
Wish all the best of luck!! I'm wearing my lucky pants, so...........lol

You may get this at the grocery or drug store. Benedryl gel or lotion also work well. You may also take Benedryl in capsule form. Corn meal sometimes is good too. I directly dip the alum crystal in water and apply it to my skin and the itch %26amp; the rash due to scratching goes away in 3 to 4 days time. Note it may burn slightly if you have scratched and bruised your skin but it does not matter the itch would stop immediately and the cure take place slowly.|||There are many remedies that you have in your pantry. Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Milk, Yogurt, Avacadoes, and Bananas to name a few.
Here are the recepies:
Oatmeal: grind in a coffee grinder or blender if you do not have a grinder. Place the oats in cheesecloth or wrap it in a hand towel and run it under water... warm but not too hot, as hot water dries out skin! How do I clear up a skin rash on my dog? It's not bacterial she was already on antibiotics, it's not fungal I'
I agree with all the answers so far, so I will just add one more thing.
Have you tried switching shampoo? Perhaps the one you are currently using is drying out her skin, and causing her to scratch it raw. Try something formulated with conditioners specially made for sensitive skin.|||desitin for diaper rash helped my dog. rubbed him down with it and it cleared it up fairly quickly. or other diaper rash medicine gold bond etc.|||Is it allergies? Depending on the dog size you could put her on benadryl. Research on line for the appropriate amount per day and talk to your vet.|||My dog has had lots of skin rashes. I just buy this stuff called "Sulfodene". It clears it up in about a week. This stuff also gets rid of infections. Also good if the dog gets a scrape or abrasion, and it works wonders on hot spots. Hope that helps!|||I would ask your vet about it, they will have the best answer for you. Good Luck, i hope it clears up soon.|||OK, Aveda oatmeal works great! It is safe, just make sure not to get it in his/her eyes. I'm sure the rash is from dry skin if it is not bacterial. And if it does not work it will not hurt him/her.|||Hey, if it is not bacterial or fungal, then it is probably a type of allergy to something he came into contact with, and possibly a flea allergy. I know you may not see a flea on your dog, but just one flea might have bitten him and then jumped off, which is all it takes for a dog with a flea allergy to get a nasty rash. This happened to my friend's dog. He had a nasty rash, and we tried everything to treat it as bacterial, fungal, etc, then we finally went to the vet and the vet said it was from a flea bite. If you try putting a fresh dose of frontline on your dog, and the rash doesn't clear up in a few days, then you know it is most likely dermatitis. If the rash is just a rash, and not an open wound, go ahead and put some Benadryl cream on the rash to give your dog some relief.
I hope this helps. I know so many dogs with skin allergies and it can certainly be frustrating.|||you must also rule out a food allergy. Try feeding a senstive skin food. It should have more omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and vitamin e to help witht he skin. Until you know it's not a food allegy you might have to swith food a few times.
Try science diet senstive skin or natures recipe they have fomula the doesnt have any wheat or beef or chicken in it . It might help

Have you ever heard of a skin rash with the named "ECA" for short? The name of it is very long.?
It is painless and itchless. Round like a ringworm but looks like a bullseye. It is not a fungus though.|||Could be empitago, or lyme's disease. Those are the only bulls eye rashes I've heard of.|||ya i got it from yo momma!|||is it egzemia....maybe i dont know, maybe it was suppossed to be EZA....just a guess now so dont hold it on me hehe|||If your "ECA" is actually called Eruptive Cherry Angioma or Hemangioma, then they are basically benign collections of dialted blood vessels that come to the surface of the skin. (bulge to the surface) They are mostly harmless but because they are often red and/or purple and can look like moles gone bad, people often ask to have them removed. Most dermatologists won't remove them (I know, I have asked) since by doing so will disrupt the blood flow since they are blood vessels.
ECA is common in both men and women between the ages of 30-50. ECA "spots" often show on the chest and arms but can appear anywhere.
If what you have is actually showing some inflammation or bleeding, please go see your Doctor as this may be a sign of something that requires treatment.

I have a very bad skin rash around my mouth, i need some advice please.?
First, please bear in mind i cannot go to my doctor because they only work in mornings and the queue is literally 150 people long, around half of those people get sent home (even at 7:00 in the morning)
Anyway here's the story:
Once upon a time, a school boy of 14 years of age had flakes around his mouth.
He had these flakes around his mouth for 2 months.
He decided it was time he did something about it.
He put dove cream on his mouth and hours later his mouth turned red.
HE WAS ALLERGIC TO IT.
For 2 weeks, his mouth has been red and flakey.
He went on yahoo answers and asked if he should put aqueous cream to treat it.
They told him yes.
He put it on, and it went VERY red.
It was so red, that he decided to put his mothers mousse make up thing on his face to blend it out.
It worked, however, the next day it was redder than ever!
He is still looking for answers...
- IF UR A DOCTOR OR ANYTHING MEDICALLY RELATED PLEASE WRITE IN YOUR ANSWER! -
Thankin all that answer|||Put aloe vera on it or vasoline. You can also try anti-itch cream. BUT TRY TO KEEP HIM FROM SCRATCHING IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!!|||I am a doctor. Nobody in here, including me, can treat you or advise you on your rash because they can't see it to make a proper diagnosis. Even if they could, diagnosing rashes is a very challenging business. Go see an actual doctor, preferably a dermatologist, and stop trying to treat this on your own. DON'T put anything else on it unless and until a doctor tells you to do so.|||Get some hydrocortisone cream. That will calm down allergic reactions. You can buy it at any drug store, grocery store or WalMart. You do not need a perscription, but you can ask the pharmacist questions about what is available and the highest dosage to use.
I am not a doctor, but I have had allergies all my life and find cortisone cream can clear up a lot of the red itchy things that plague me.|||Sometime there,s some medicaid ed ointment that you can use for sore or rash.|||I'd try a topical antibiotic cream %26lt;neosporin%26gt; - and just dab the area with a clean, warm wet wash cloth - also pure vitamin e may help (buy the gel pills and cut in half).. apply before bed.
It is obvious you are very sensitive also you may want to drink a lot of water, take vitamin c orally -
Perhaps taking a benadryl tonight may help with any allergy -
if this does not get better, sadly, medical advice is your best option. Most medical questions on yahoo should be taken with the best option of seeking real medical help -
USE only pure and natural things - the face is an area that is sensitive - and prone to breaking out -

When i shave why do i get skin rash, burns, cut skin with blood spots?
Your skin is not even, and when the razor goes over it, it "shaves" the top layer of skin off.

you have sensitive skin
you're shaving against the skin grain
you're pressing too hard

Wet your face before using shaving cream or foam. Shave after taking a shower or soaking your face with hot, wet towels. Take your time, use slow, easy strokes.
If you use an electric shaver, don't. Too hard to keep them clean. The cutting heads get dull.
If your problem persists, see a dermatoligist. You may be allergic to something, causing a rash, which gets sliced off by a razor blade.|||Because you are proberbly not doing it properly.

.......due to an allergy or something like that??|||Penicillin is an antibiotic and is therefore used to kill bacteria. Your rash may be caused by poison ivy, detergents, an STD, carpet burn, insect bites...you get the idea. Thankin all that answer|||It sounds like eczema.
Some dermatologists recommend using Cetaphil cream, which is over the counter. Cetaphil is fragrance-free and doesn't have a lot of harsh chemicals, so it shouldn't make your skin red.
It helps to apply your cream or lotion right when your skin is wet, in order to absorb better.
It also helps to gently exfoliate your skin, which helps remove the flakes.
You may also want to consider food allergies. Sometimes eczema is the result of a food you're allergic to. Peanuts, milk, oranges, and shellfish are most common. It might be helpful to keep a food journal and see if you notice a connection.
Also consider what shampoo and soap you're using. Is it something new? You may be allergic to it. Using fragrance-free soap or cleanser is usually best for sensitive skin. This is a great product - http://www.californiababy.com/super-sens...
Stress is a factor too. If you have a lot of stress, it can definitely cause skin irritations. Chamomile tea is good for stress relief.|||Yeah, go to the Dr. anyways! I have a friend who has a skin rash?
It is a very itchy, blisterly area, it turns into red bumps and because he is a scratcher it ends up bleeding. He has been given treatment for dermatitis.

I have a question about my acne/skin rash.?
I'm an 19 year old guy. I have perioral deratitis. It is when you have red bumps around your mouth. Essentially it looks like acne but it has this name, so I will refer to it as acne. It bothers the **** out of me. I know it's gay but I actually wear make-up now to cover it up. I hate wearing makeup. I can't grow facial hair, so I was thinking could I buy a fake beard that looks real and just wear that . Any ideas if that would be a good idea, and if so where I would get this legitimate looking fake beard.|||I would go to a dermatologist for medicine. That is really the best option. You can try different face washes like Neutrogena (which I use), but it takes a while to find the one that is right for you. It can take up to 6 monthes for your skin to get used to the new face wash. If you smoke, cut down because smoking hurts your skin. And, drink lots of water which can help your complexion.

My daughter has a skin rash, Is there a diagnosis anyone knows about?
it started out like mosquito bites, but now has hot, itchy, angry, red patches|||This is a job for an m.d.
not Yahoo answers|||Your daughter sounds as if she may have eczema dermatitis. Take her to the doctor as this can and usually gets worse. It is caused from allergies. Take her to the doctor. Is she having difficulty breathing? Is she coughing or scratching all over?|||How old your daughter is?
May be she is having allergi to some cloth or bed linen or nappy rash.
Is the rashes are all over the body?
Don't wait go to a peadiatrician|||is it flaky at all? could be dermitis. best bet is just to try topical hydrocortizone creams. if that doesnt work go to your family doctor and he'll probably prescribe some stronger stuff.|||It sounds like Eczema Dermatitis. Best to take her to a doctor immediately as this can worsen. The doctor said the vaccine isn't 100% effective, and they broke out around midnight on a Sunday.
Your description isn't very detailed. Hot, itchy, red patches could be anything from hives to an allergic dermatitis. I would have the doctor take a peak, but, for now, try some calamine lotion. Most 24 hour supermarkets and drugstores have it. Might give her some relief until you could see the doc.
I do hope she feels better.

Can penicillin be used to kill a skin rash??
.......due to an allergy or something like that??|||Penicillin is an antibiotic and is therefore used to kill bacteria. Penicillin would only be helpful in getting rid of a rash that is caused by a bacterial infection. It will do nothing to get rid of a rash caused by allergies, sun exposure, irritation etc.|||penicillin sometimes CAUSES a rash. i wouldnt use it.|||Penicillin is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by bacteria, not allergic reactions. Go see your doctor.|||If you don't know what has caused your rash, you cannot know how to treat it. Penicillin kills bacteria. Your rash may be caused by poison ivy, detergents, an STD, carpet burn, insect bites...you get the idea. If you think the rash is due to an allergy and you're not having anaphylactic symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath, an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream or a diphenhydramine cream (Benadryl) may give you some relief.
What could i use to help my skin rash around my mouth? Please help...?

I have a bad skin rash for two days. its very itchy. i am scared of antiallergy tablets. can i use sedofan ?
I don't understand why you are scared of a pill. Anyhow, you can get some Benadryl spray. Go to your pharmacy and ask for a spray or ointment that works on skin. If you can't swallow pills you can get a liquid antihistamine
Next you need to figure out WHY you have the rash. Have you been to your doctor? Get some mild soap to use like Dove which is most recommended by dermatologists. Also get some non scented laundry soap and fabric softner to wash your clothing and bedding.|||I have a spot on my neck and I was told to try a lotion with Chamomile in it.

Can you get a skin rash or welts from using crystal meth?
Yes from what I've heard on TV documentaries. The users are covered in sores because of scratching at the crawly feeling the drug gives them. It's a poison to your body and you should get help to quit.|||Yes, it wreaks havoc on the skin. Cysts and rashes are common, which are aggravated because when a tweeker finds something like that, they're more inclined to "poke" at it, making the skin worse.
If you get high and find this is a problem, try to remember to wash your hands both before and after touching any skin lesions.|||That's what I hear. I clean and repair houses for a living and I cleaned one that was a meth lab, and now I've been getting rashes and welts.|||I wouldn't doubt it. A rash would be the least of my worries though!!
Common immediate side effects:
* Euphoria
* Increased energy and attentiveness
* Diarrhea, nausea
* Loss of appetite, insomnia, tremor, jaw-clenching (Bruxism)
* Agitation, compulsive fascination with repetitive tasks (Punding)
* Talkativeness, irritability, panic attacks
* Increased libido
* Dilated pupils
Side effects associated with chronic use:
* Drug craving
* Weight loss
* Withdrawal-related depression and anhedonia
* Rapid tooth decay ("meth mouth")
* Amphetamine psychosis
Side effects associated with overdose:
* Brain damage (Neurotoxicity)
* Formication (sensation of flesh crawling with bugs, with possible associated compulsive picking and infecting sores)
* Paranoia, delusions, hallucinations
* Kidney damage (from Hyperkalemia)|||Yes, look at how horrible these people look after using meth:
http://www.drugfree.org/Portal/DrugIssue...|||Yes !|||Yes. When you use crystal meth one of the ways it gets out of your system is through your pores in your skin. It causes your skin to become very oily and you break out. Most meth users have a bad habit of picking at their skin, causing the breakouts to get worse and causing breakouts to turn into large open sores on the skin. Rashes could be because of an allergic reaction or if you are injecting meth.

Has anyone developed a skin rash after angio-seal operation to unblock arterys in leg?
Angio Seal is a small device that is used to close the hole in an artery after it has been entered either for cardiac catheterization or for intervention on the arteries in the leg. It actually sits on the artery which is fairly deep in the patient.

An adult male with diabetic mother and grandma.|||no but if you have to pee alot and drink alot then those are symptoms i have it and it sucks|||No, it isn't. infection.|||It sounds like a fungal infection like athlete's foot which is easily treated, but I would suggest a visit to your local G.P to confirm diagnosis. Sweat is the main contribitutory factor here, so common sense tells you to wear open shoes when possible avoiding heavy footwear including socks. If socks are necessary, cotton is best as it will allow the feet to breathe.|||I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and it sounds like athletes foot, you can get medication at the chemists. If it spreads then it could be scabies. i would let your Dr check it out before treating it yourself both conditions are highly contagious. OR it could just be excessive sweating, this causes a fungal infection as well. Try tea tree oil in a foot bath twice a day, it won't hurt any other conditions that I've mentioned.

Sounds like an allergy. If the dr. has sent him home with antibiotics too, don't give him any more. If it gets any worse, i.e. swelling etc. it would be better for him to the e.r. You could call your dr. tonight, usually they have and answering service, that will call the dr. to let him know tonight, and then the dr. will call you tonight. If he was an adult I would tell you to give him a benadryl, but not sure of children's dosage.|||I bet it's an allergy. That's how it was found out I was allergic to penicillin. Mom found me in the crib with rashes all over me. Report It
|||Yes... it may be the first slight reaction to the drug... another dose could cause a stronger reaction... Be sure to discuss this with your doctor. I speak from experience!|||yep he's probably allergic to it. thats exactly what happened to me, I went to the doctor showed her my rash and she put me on a different med. Do the same with your son. Do paleontologists get any kind of skin rash or contact dermatitis from handling fake dinosaur artifacts?
If Satan is so evil, I assume he would have some kinda cooties.|||No, but I often sneeze when I read the Bible!|||They always have a Dr at the dig site, just in case. It has long been suspected that since about 1824 when the first of Satan's buried fossils was identified, that he might have booby-trapped the fossils with diseases......just as "god" booby-trapped the garden of eden with the "forbidden fruit."|||Yes.
It's called demonitis.|||what does satan have to do with dinosaurs?|||Why does everyone assume we (Christians) think "Satan put those fossils there"? We don't. Dinosaurs lived alongside man in pre-flood days and even for a while post-flood. That's why scientists are finding human footprints and dinosaur footprints in the same rocks and riverbeds, not to mention ancient pottery decorated with pictures of dinosaurs. The flood itself is why we find so many fossils - the organism needs to die quickly in order to be fossilized, and a lot of organisms died very quickly in the flood. And in the pre-flood world the lifespan of all living things was a lot longer, meaning that some lizards, who never stop growing as they age, would have been huge. There's your dinosaur artifacts.|||No, it just makes them unattractive to women.|||No. But I always seem to burst into laughter whenever I'm near a Bible, or whenever Christians start preaching to me or ask stupid and ignorant questions like that.
Edit: CL RICHARDSON - Not "everyone" assumes all Christians think that. I, for one (an Agnostic, at that), know that there are plenty of open-minded, intelligent, and rational Christians in the world (like you) who realize that dinosaurs existed, despite the fact that they're not mentioned in the Bible. (Nor are the years of Jesus' life between the ages of 12 and 30 - but he was still alive and on the earth, wasn't he? Yet where's the irrefutable proof of THAT???) It's just ignoramuses like this questioner who give the rest of you a bum rap.

There's something like a skin rash or something on my friends skin and we're trying to find out what it is.
http://i16.tinypic.com/4yis8jr.jpg
the one on the left looks bubbly and has black dots inside of them
and the one on the right looks like it's developing into the samething
can you please tell us what it is and how to treat it?|||It looks to me like it could be the Herpes Zoster Virus, also known as Shingles. Is the site of the "rash" painful or itchy? Maybe both? I need some more information on the condition of the area. If it is Shingles, has your friend had the Chicken Pox yet? Shingles and Chicken Pox are both from the Herpes Zoster Virus. Sometimes, (only after having the Chicken Pox first) the virus lays dormant in the nerve bundles in the body and when a person is stressed, they flare up causing a painful, itchy rash area on the skin.
Hope this is helpful!|||It resembles early stage poison ivy exposure. The blisters are a definite symptom.|||Does your friend do yard work at home or anything? If so, is the area you live in have a lot of wild shrubs, weeds, etc.? Consider this because it sounds like Poison Ivy - treatable, but a pain for certain.
Best to your friend.|||I think she should see the doctor.
I've seen a drawing that looks very similar to the picture, you showed. I hope it's not what I think it is.

I have a skin rash on my upper arms that i have had for years now, what is wrong with my arms?
I would like to know what this is and hot to treat it. They look like little white head pimples.|||Sounds like keratosis pilaris. My daughter has the same thing and sometimes gets it on her upper thighs too. Take a look at http://www.helpforkp.com/ and also get an opinion from your doctor to make sure that's what it is.|||I think you should go to dermatologist if not that get a anti-fungal cream and try that. Well Im Hawaiian/Samoan and American Indian and I get a rash very often too but mine is a heat rash (and no its not just always because In hot). Cornstarch powder works for my skin. Try a lotion for allergies like Aveeno with the oatmeal. Worked wonders on me when I got huge gigantic hives from an unknown sourse.|||I think that I've had this before. My Aunt gave me a simple solution, rub your arms with skin lotion. Be aware though, they will not dissapear immediatly, this will take a few days. Im not trying to be mean or anything though.|||These things require a real exam, go to your doctor or a clinic. All you will get here are guesses from people who can't see what you are talking about.|||Rosacia (cant spell it) makes arms and cheeks red and blotchy at times

Best antihistamine for skin rash allergy?? its on my face!!!?
i dont know what it could be that im allergic to, thoguht it was hair dye as it only appeared since i been workin in a hair dressers. but it didnt appear on my hands only my face and neck. its kindof red marks, some with whiteheads and they are itchy. the doctor thought i was only allergic to it when i have it on me, like when im gettin my hair dyed. but.... i havn had my hair dyed since and it has appeared again!!!! how do i get rid of it!! posted another question explainin all details. i want it gone for good!! how do i get rid of it?? i am starting taking anti histamines again as this is third time its appeared since end of august!! and using hyrocortasone creme too. but i used those last time and it has appeared again. so they obviously didnt work last time. please help. i really need your advice!!! x x x x x|||Try over the counter Benedryl, and some anti-fungal cream like lotrimin. If it doesn`t get any better, you may need to see a dermatologist for something stronger. Good Luck!!!!!|||benedryl|||Have you tried a topical antihistamine ( apply to the skin)?? Benadryl is an antihistamine that is available in spray form and in a cream form. Maybe you should wear a face mask when you are working around chemicals where you work, especially when mixing chemicals for hair color ( dye). Place a small fan near your work station, keep it on low and in the direction away from you so that you'll get some ventilation from the chemicals. I hope that this helped some and Good Luck.|||I think you need to get an allergy test. The test that would examine your blood and the results would tell on which things and food you are allergic. I don't think taking too much anti-histamines would help you get rid of those allergies. Sometimes, taking too much medicine might cause negative effects on your health. I suggest you to take that test, just to be sure, if those things really come from allergies and for you to know the main cause of the skin reaction or better visit some other physicians of different fields.. :) I hope this can help. God bless!
I have a skin rash on my chest, its not causing any pain or itching but its bothering me??
It looks round, not perfectly round though, pink, and very dry sometimes it itches a little, about half the size of a dime and i had a new one that appeared on my upper right arm and one on my left arm, and the couple that are fading on chest looks like a fading bruise like a light brown color. when I first had it would pink and very dry almost scaly and several weeks pass and it starts fading and leaving a light brown scar. does anyone have any idea what it is?? should I be concern, as far as i know i dont have any health problems at all!!|||Sounds like something I have...Tinea versicolor is a fungus infection that commonly affects the skin of young people, especially the chest, back, and upper arms and legs. It doesn't usually affect the face, though. This fungus produces spots that are either lighter than surrounding skin or reddish-brown. There may be just a few spots or many. One way you can check is to buy an anti-fungal cream (like for athlete's foot) apply it sparingly on the spots and if you see them fade after 1-2 days, this is what it is. Unfortunately, there is no cure and they will reoccur throughout your life. Be on the lookout for them when they first crop up, grab your cream and be on the ready. Annoying and ugly, but not harmful. Do more research on this subject and look for photos.|||could be what is called psirious their are quite a few drugs that keep it under control methertrexate this bugger your your sex life %26amp; it can cause you to die even after 2 years after taking it if you reach the stage where you would rather die than put up with it then its ok but the old thing will not rise to the ocation it will not go hard it is called floppy dic youre memerys are still there masterbation is still if you dont get tired %26amp;sore arm not a good drug dont foget 2 years after stoping the drug it can still cause death ask q about any drug you might take for what the side efects are im on thi drug fofr the same reasons in my case i was coverd in genitic problem they are close to a cure there are 30% of the population efected by this genitic problem its costing gov .a lot of cash so they will fix it
I have a skin rash, it started under my left chest and spread from there quickly to my whole upper body, why?
It hasn't spread to my arms, or face, just my upper body, chest, back, stomach, pubic area... not on my legs... what is it? It itches like crazy!|||Most common skin rash is staph (staphylococci). You can get it playing contact sports, by sharing towels. Harmless and easy to treat unless it gets internalized. Leading cause of hospital deaths is staph|||Sounds like shingles!! Call your doctor.|||might be scabies or bed bugs or something. Get some cortaid, if its doesnt get better in a coupla days go to the doctor|||skin allergy???
or probably ringworm?
better still.... go and askyour dermatologist.... or probably a skin doctor will do ASAP!!!|||It is impossible to tell what it is without seeing it or get a better description of the rash. I certainly wouldn't take an answer I got on the internet as a diagnosis. First, I doubt it is shingles as one person stated. Shingles 'usually' follow nerve pathways and come on slowly. I have not seen any that cover the entire torso and so quickly. It could be just about anything. Any new changes such as soap, laundry detergent, new sheets (unwashed) or new clothing (unwashed)? Could be an allergy to something you came in contact with. As the one writer said, it could be bed bugs, fleas or scabies. With scabies you will notice linear "tracks" where the little critters burrow under the skin. Try over the counter Hydrocortisone cream. Ask the pharmacist for the best kind to get. And I would get to a Dr. right away. Oh, the hydro cream will NOT get rid of any bugs or dermatitis you may have. It just gives you some relief from the itching.|||Go to the store and get an anti-fungal spray or cream (whichever is least expensive). Try it on an area as an experiment. If it stops the itching, then go to www.hufa.org - the yeast link, for an explanation of why and what to do further.
You can also e-mail me through my profile, if you wish.

Allergies like this worsen over time. In the meantime, Benadryl started making quick dissolve strips. I used them last year when I had a reaction (to the acid in raw tomato ... go figure); they work quickly since they are being absorbed as soon as you put it on your tongue. At the very least, it helps with the swelling, redness and any itching.
Good luck!

I have a skin rash that has small bumps filled with a puss like substance its only on my leg and on half of it

Baby/ Blisters/ Skin Rash/ Advice needed?
HI,My 19m old has been getting unexplained blisters, he has ecsema, but this usually only appears on his back andsides, sometimes his elbows and legs, these blisters first appeared on his chin, then his side and now he has one on the top of his hand, I have not called his ped. yet, he has also been having 3-5 bowel movements a day, but are usually pretty solid, no real loss of appetite, has anyone else experienced this? Any advice? He doesn't seem sick, he runs, plays, yells, and gets into everything, just a little worried mommy!|||It could be hand/foot/mouth disease. Check %26amp; see if he has blisters in his mouth. My kids ha this a couple of times - there's not much you can do for it except wait it out. Of course you'll want to contact your pediatrician for an official diagnosis. Good luck!!|||If hes happy, healthy, no loss of appetite, doesnt seem to be in pain, and is not running a fever hes probably ok. But I would definitely call the ped as soon as possible to get an explanation as to what those blisters might be.|||I would take him to the pediatricians, just to be safe. his blisters could be less or more of something then someone else's baby's was

Is the skin rash shingles contagious?
We know someone with Aids and they have shingles , just being cautious.|||Shingles cannot be passed from one person to another.
However, the virus that causes shingles, VZV, can be spread from a person with active shingles to a person who has never had chickenpox through direct contact with the rash.
The person exposed would then develop chickenpox, not shingles.
The virus is not spread through sneezing, coughing or casual contact. A person with shingles can spread the disease when the rash is in the blister-phase. Once the rash has developed crusts, the person is no longer contagious. A person is not infectious before blisters appear.|||Shingles is contagious if you come in contact with with a sore on there body, but the aids isn't contagious just by touching them.
