not really. it could irritate more b/c it doesn't allow the rash to have air and could trap germs.
use benadryl or hydrocortisone cream instead. this will help reduce the reaction and help with any itching. you can find it at any local drugstore. these creams are absorbed by the skin so they won't trap germs or block air.
you can also use oral benadry tablets but they will make you sleepy so no driving or being out and about. take 1-2 of the 25mg tablets every 6 hours (no more than 4 doses in 24 hours).
hope this helps|||it helps for killing breast cancer only~duh!|||Vaseline acts as a barrier against wetness, so if you have chafing it can help protect the skin. My long distance runner friends put it between their armpits and chest, and thighs, so they don't get rashes from the friction when they run.|||Yes this helps to heal skin|||hmm only if your chafing or trying to protect it from something. i would use a hydrocortisone cream ...that will get to the root of the actual problem.|||no because it will keep in the heat from the infection. Your looking to cool the area.|||No, try an antibacterial cream.|||no, it could even make things worse. Try sorbolene cream.|||No vaseline holds in bacteria.
