Can peace lilies cause itchy, burning rash on skin?

I cut back some peace lilies and put the stems in water to root. I gathered up the pieces in my hand, and now I have a painful, itchy rash.I did no other gardening and stayed indoors while doing this. There are blisters along the base of my fingers and it is red and very itchy.|||Different people can have sensitivities to any plant or animal. So yes you could have a sensitivity to peace lily oil or sap or microscopic hairs on the leaves, etc. I once knew a guy who was allergic to himself--no lie.|||it might b the pollen|||could be
