My boyofriend's penis is rough, a rash has developed, and skin has started to peel. Could it be a STD?

The roughness and rash cover the head of the penis, and it goes all the way to his testicles. It has never happened before. It hurts when he touches it, or when it rubs against his clothes. The skin has slowly been peeling off, and when it does that it leaves blood marks. He won't go get it checked out but we think it could be a symptom of an STD? Is it?|||I will say this, that can happen in an untreated std and he could have gotten it from someone else even if he used a condom. It sounds to me like a real bad fungal infection. Probably the fungus that causes atheletes feet and jock itch. He could try using some cream that is made for atheletes foot or for jock itch and see if it helps. The same fungus causes both. As you may know atheletes feet involves blisters, redness, itching and thick rough peeling skin. If the cream doesn't work you should definately get it checked out. He could develop have a certain type of bacteria that tends to eat away at the flesh of the penis leaving huge ulcers. It is serious but if you absolutely can't get him to the doctor use atheletes foot cream.|||go to a dr..........it could be lot of things..that's not normal.....|||it could be STD but he really needs to get it checked out by a doctor because no matter what it is it needs to be treated|||I'm telling you, you should BOTH be running to the doctor. It could be a hundred different things. If it's an STD you should be asking him where he's been OR he could be asking you the same question. And if it's peeling and bleeding it could be susceptible to other infection on top of what is already wrong. You should pack up and go to the emergency room.
