Can any of you women help me out with a skin rash problem?

My back breaks out in a every once in a while, from nothing in particular, at least I don't think, but it's so itchy. Do any of you ladies have any idea how I could rid it or prevent it from happening? Thanks so much.|||You can break out any place you have skin, though usually it is worse on the face and back. It sounds as if you have either a built up of dead skin cells or dry skin. You can break out from either. The way to prevent it is to use a loofa or back scrub sponge to slough off the dead skin, or one of the body scrubs which have tiny bits to help do it. Also consider the soap you are using. The body doesn't really need a deoderant soap all over, in fact, it doesn't really benefit from a deoderant soap anywhere if you bathe daily. A nice mild soap, or in your case a soap with some added oil or cream would be best I should think. If your skin is dry, soaking in a warm tub with added bath oil- not bubble bath- one or twice a week will help as well. So will applying a body lotion to the damp skin after bathing/showering, then just sort of pat drying. That will help your skin hold the moisture better.

If you are breaking out and itchy in areas where your bra straps rub, it might also be due to the laundry detergeat, laundry aids, or fabric softener/dryer sheets. They leave residues of soaps and perfumes in the clothing, which is why clothes smell so nicely after washing. They may irritate skin, though. More so if it is not all being rinsed out well in the wash. I use liquid detergeants and run my undies in an extra rinse for this reason. I will break out and have really itchy skin otherwise. When I am able, I buy detergeants without added perfumes and such, just to avoid the problem.

I hope this helps you some. I have a tendency to dry skin and I have had a lot of improvement with doing these things.|||it is herpes, you should get to the doctor.|||You should see a dermatologist. He/she can probably presribe an ointment. They will know what to do. And you say it happened more than once. You need to have something on hand. It will be worth the price.|||ARE EATING SOMETHING DIFFERNT THAN USUAL, HRDROCORTIZONE WILL HELP THE ITCHING, I WOULD MAKE AN APPT WITH A DERMATOLOGIST.|||My boyfriend has had this happen a few times. We didn't know what it was at first, but after changing the Laundry Detergent, and Body Wash it was gone in a couple of days. To get rid of the rash try taking Benadryl or put a good lotion on. Vasaline Intesive Care works very well.|||Consult a skin specialist .

It could also be your laundry detergent/softener, or your bath soap. You need to remember what you ate, wore and did right before you break out. It could also be stress, breaking you out in a rash. You can take Benadryl and use an anti-itch cream on your rash. If you can't figure out what's causing it, see a dermatologist.
