My neighbours child has brought home that skin rash SCABIES FROM HIS SCHOOL BUT HER DOCTOR PRECRIBED dermac fo

the whole family which they all used but now the eldest girl has discovered she's pregnant 8 wks gone need she be worried THE WHOLE SCHOOL HAD TO BE TREATED AS WELL SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE|||It is possible that parents and children may feel the need to be treated as a precautionary action. Do not worry, it is treatable but it isn't a pleasant thing to have. Hope it all goes well. And yes, the pregnant girl should try to steer clear as she may not be able to take the medicine or the cream. She should see her GP for advice as soon as possible.|||IT'S THE PLAGUE. RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!

AAAHHHH!!!!!|||Get a grip|||ewwww.

well the pregnant girl needs to get out of the house since she can't take any meds.|||Scabies is not a skin rash. They are parasites living under the skin. They are very unlikely to burrow through to an 8 week old foetus.|||I'm sure scabies has no effect on pregnant women - it's a highly contagious skin condition and not very nice to live with, but that's about it. My friend caught it when she was pregnant ( from trying on clothes in Mothercare!! ) and was treated just the same as anyone else, with a cream to apply to clear it.|||Go to the doctor and tell them what has happened, they should prescribe something as it is Contagious. The school should have known this. As for the pregnant girl, she will now need to be monitored, it IS contagious|||Some of the medicated creams and shampoos that treat scabies can be harmful to an unborn baby. The scabies itself will not hurt the baby. Just the effects of drugs. If she has scabies she needs to see a doctor and be prescribed something safe for pregnant women.|||If she's 8 weeks pregnant everything should be fine, but she should see a doctor asap as they can make sure for her.|||the pregnant girl should not be in the house tell her to go to her doctors asap to make sure everything is ok
