Horse skin disorder / rash?

my horse has this-well, i dont know what it is exactly.Lol. its like flakes of skin under her front left arm. When i touch it she gets very angry, so it must hurt. does anybody know what it is or how to get rid of this ??|||It sounds like what we call rain rot... basically it's eczema. Use some betadine or phisohex shampoo, scrub it well and rinse it really well, wait a few days and do it again, then leave it alone for about a week, it should be much better.|||I'm not sure if it is rain rot, never seen it anywhere but the back. However, what the first responder here suggested couldn't hurt. Shampooing it with a good medicated scrub would not hurt. You could try aloe vera gel to sooth it and help it heal.|||Flaxseed oil in the feed may help in the long run. Read these. I feed it to my horses %26amp; it works GREAT!!!!!

I think its because they get really sweaty there when you ride them coz that's near where the girth is. Wash it a few times with an antibacterial shampoo and pull the scabs off if you can. Good Luck!
