Pup has bad skin Problem: Rash, Alleriges, Yeast infec??

well i noticed pretty quick and started putting lotion and a human skin sort-of moistrzier/ insect repelent. and kepp her inside and it got much better fairly quickly but she went crazy in the house poop, chewing so i made a place for her outside in a cleaned shed and left outside and 2or3 weeks it got worse all down her spine , biting, open sores ,raw skin, scabs. i givng her flea and tick treatment and dont seem to help seemed to get worse since summer. everywhere else seems to be ok just on her back along the spine where she can reach to scratch..by her butt. have no money just been in serious car accident and am completely stressed. hate to see her like that!! any advice or anything home remedies cheap meds, or just info greatly appericated and can send photos if would help thanks a million in advance!!|||It sounds like maybe she has Demedectic mange(sp). My dog had the same thing and its a hereditary mange that dogs get and is not contagious to other animals. Its more pronounced when they are stressed out. Thet will scratch and bite at their skin until they get bald spots. You will definately have to take her to a vet so they can determine if this is what it is. They have a special dip that they use and seemed to make my dog drowsy after he got home. I stopped doing them and just treat him with oatmeal baths and I bought this stuff at the pet store for "hot spots" that seems to help. Dont bath your dog too much for you will dry out his skin but trythe oatmeal shampoo for dogs, feed him fish oil once a day and try that hot spot stuff. Owning a dog can be expensive but its worth keeping your friend comfortable. Try the home remedies and see how they work! good luck!!|||try an oatmeal shampoo made for dogs you can usually get it at a pet store. It will help comfort the sores especially if it is allergies|||Like the first person said...it definitely sounds like mange. Be careful, sarcoptic mange IS contagious to humans, as it is caused by tiny mites, although there are a few different types of mange. I'm not entirely sure if this is a trait only to sarcoptic, but the dogs with sarcoptic mane smell...BAD. Try calling a shelter aound you and see if they can help you out until you get things back on track..we give our dogs Ivermeck (sp) I believe, bu I'm not sure (haven't had to give it in awhile). Maybe try working out a payment plan or something with the vets around you? And Lotion doesn't really help dog's skin as far as I know...could be wrong though..Good Luck!
